International Students Guide to Nido

You’ve made a great decision to study abroad, we know it can be a big change. We’ve got a number of resources available to you, to help you make the most of your experience at Nido in your new city.

Get to know your new neighbourhood

Our buildings are centrally located, so attractions and local hotspots are within walking distance. If you want to discover a little further afield, hop on a bus, tram, tube, train or rental bike. You can find local travel map available at reception and guides are available for each city on our website. Be sure to join us for our weekly events, posted on our Instagram account @Nidostudent. The events cover a range of activities from floristry classes to yoga and everything in between – we are sure there is something for you to enjoy.

We know moving can be expensive, so we’ve partnered with local and national brands to enjoy exclusive discounts for Nido students. The full list is available on our website.

Welcome books and packs

We’ve pulled together a handy guide full of everything you need to know ahead of joining us at Nido. The guide will explain things like how to use the equipment in your room, to our reception operating hours. Furthermore, it’ll explain how to connect to the Wi-Fi – which is between 100Mbps to 200Mbps fast and means you can connect up to 10 devices at one time.

We’ve taken the guess work out of packing with our handing packing guide (insert link) and our exclusive partnership with UniKit Out. This means you can order what you need for your room, delivered straight to your door and enjoy 10% off using code ‘NIDO10’ – happy shopping!

Get to know your neighbours

We’re all about community at Nido and if we don’t speak your native language, we will find a member of our team or community that can. We have dedicated Resident Ambassadors who will be identified to you upon check in, so you always know who to speak to find out key information or get the insider knowledge.

We know adapting to a new environment can sometimes be a little intimidating; we organise regular events throughout the year to get to know your neighbours and our team. Above that, our team are super friendly so if you are feeling home sick or want a chat, pop down to reception to say hi.

Getting to us

Upon arrival, please use Google maps or City Mapper to get to us from the airport. If you need assistance upon your arrival into the UK, please call a member of our team so we can best assist you. We are here to help.
