We’ve tried to make booking an easy process for you. Here are the steps you can take once you’re ready to book:
Or you can speak directly to one of the Nido team to book:
You can choose to pay in 10 instalments, 4 instalments or in full. It’s your choice.
When booking your room, you’ll be given these three options to choose from. Once selected, you’ll be given the payment breakdown and dates so it’s clear. Payments can be made by Direct Debit, via the Nido Portal or directly to the Residence Team by debit/credit card. When choosing to pay in 10 instalments, a Direct Debit agreement must be set up.
Yes, a guarantor will be required if you are paying in 4 or 10 instalments or if you are under 18-years-old. Guarantors do not need to be based in the UK. We collect all of your guarantor information and will send an email to them for you. Easy.
Yes, you will be asked to pay:
A holding deposit of £50, as well as to sign the agreement for your room, to complete your booking and secure your room. The holding deposit will however be deducted from the first (or only) instalment of your accommodation fees.
A £100 security deposit with the first (or only) instalment of your accommodation fees. Your security deposit will be placed into a government approved deposit protection scheme and will be returned to you at the end of your stay, subject to any deductions, for example to pay for the repair of any damage. The deductions that we are permitted to make are set out in the agreement for your room.
To secure your room with us, you’ll need to sign the agreement for your room and pay the holding deposit. The holding deposit will however be deducted from the first (or only) instalment of your accommodation fees.
If you’re paying in full, the total amount will be due before your arrival in September as well.
If you’ve opted for a payment plan of 4 or 10 instalments, the first payment doesn’t need to be paid upon booking, however it will need to be paid before your arrival in September.
When checking in to your Nido, we’ll need to see a form of photo identification (passport, drivers license etc).
We’ll also need to see proof of studies from your university. The best way to do that is to bring and show us your acceptance letter, we may also need a copy of this for our records and to provide to the local council upon request.
Yes, we have Wifi throughout each Nido so you can be connected at all times. More information on how to connect will be provided upon your arrival.
We know how important your belongings are to you which is why we provide contents insurance to everyone staying in a Nido. Find out more about what’s covered, here: https://www.nidostudent.com/help/contents-insurance/
If you’d like to move rooms, we’ll always try to accommodate it. Please do note that we can only offer room changes if there are rooms available to move into within your Nido and there is an understandable reason for wanting the change.
Keep in mind that different rooms can be offered at varying prices. The rates are based on a number of things, like the size of the room, location in the building and its availability so it may be that you will have to pay a different rate to occupy another room.
As terms and conditions may apply, please make sure you speak to us.
If you ever need to contact the team at Nido, feel free to get in touch. Our teams are always there to help.

New to the UK? No worries. To make your life easier, and put you at ease, we have put together some useful links for you to review so you can better prepare:
We have laundry rooms in all of our Nidos. You’ll have 24-hour access to washers, dryers and ironing boards.
To get real-time availability of the washers/dryers, download the Circuit Laundry App.
Prices for a wash and dry can be found in your Welcome Book which you’ll receive upon checking-in. Payment is done through a pay-as-you-go card which can be purchased from a machine in the laundry room.
For any other questions on laundry, speak to the team as they’ll be happy to help.
We do allow day and night guests, however, for your own safety and security, there are a few guest policies in place:
You’re responsible for keeping your room tidy throughout your stay.
Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of cleaning. We offer a range of room cleaning packages by a member of our housekeeping staff. Pricing and availability is dependant on the Nido residence, so make sure to speak to the team to find out more information about our cleaning packages.
We work hard to make sure that pretty much everything is included in your stay. Just so it’s clear, the below items are not included in your accommodation fee:
If you’d like any bedding, towels and/or kitchen equipment during your stay, you can buy them through UniKitOut. We’ve partnered with UniKitOut to provide you with plenty of options plus they’ll deliver to your door.
We don’t provide phone lines, but If you’d like to have a phone in your room our internet provider can help to set it up for you. You will be able to make and receive external calls for £10 per month plus the cost of VOIP calls.
All you need to do is purchase a VOIP phone through the internet company and pay for your calls. Or you can simply choose to use an internet-based service like Skype or What’sApp and set up an account with them.
We encourage everyone to bring their bikes to university as it makes for a much more environmentally friendly way to get around town. In fact, all of our Nidos have bike storage available. Simply speak to the team to book your space. Bikes must only be stored in the specified bike stores. You are advised to check your contents insurance policy as any enhancements to the cover for expensive items (such as bikes) are at your own cost.
Depending on your Nido, you may receive a combination of keys, fobs, key cards or a mobile (smartphone) key.
If you do lose any of your keys, fobs or cards, please let us know right away for health and safety reasons.
Many of our Nidos have gyms onsite which can be accessed free of charge 24/7, so you are welcome to work out whenever you feel like it.
Upon Check-In, we do require that you complete a gym induction to ensure you’re comfortable using all of the equipment.
Our maintenance teams are available to help with any issues or questions. They’re also available for any emergencies during the weekends.
If you do experience any maintenance issues during your stay, simply log it on your maintenance portal (full information can be found in your Welcome Book). The team will update you on the progress of the job and book a time with you for accessing your room.
